To bring this global phenomenon to Australia, the National Basketball League and Basketball Australia teamed up to establish a nation-wide 3×3 competition open to players of all ages and skill levels.
With 3×3 basketball set to be part of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, this is a sport that has come a long way, quickly.
The NBL approached Frankly to create an overarching brand for the competition that would instantly convey the excitement of this up-and-coming form of basketball.
Immediately, the Frankly team was struck by the description of the sport by Dusan Bulut, a two-time 3×3 world champion, who says of the sport: “It’s global, it’s urban, it’s a show.”
It was with these words in the forefront of our minds that we developed the ‘3×3 Hustle’ brand.
The 3×3 Hustle is a multi-faceted, multi-location competition targeting a number of segments of Australia’s basketball-loving community.
With an acute understanding of how to simultaneously reach and engage with multiple audiences, Frankly created a bold, energetic brand that successfully gained the attention of basketballers right across the country.
